Building Resilience in Children

Every day, we help children across Ireland access their potential by assessing their learning needs through educational assessments. A huge part of helping children access their potential is also by supporting professionals, staff, and educators with training in the various tests and assessment results in order to plan appropriate interventions for students.

Description:
All children will experience events in their life that can be challenging. How they respond is related to their levels of resilience and coping skills. This 2 day workshop will focus on how to both develop resilience in children and how to promote it through a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach.
Duration:
This is offered as a 2-day face-to-face workshop.

Appropriate for:
All educational related professionals who have direct contact with children and especially primary and secondary school teachers.
Prerequisites:
Professional teaching experience.
Coursework:
Engagement in class activities; practical work; role play
Qualification earned:
8 CPD credits allocated to this course from the Psychological Society of Ireland.
