Access Arrangements Training (AAT)

This course, alongside the Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (CCET) will enable teachers to gain the knowledge, expertise, and skills necessary to assess and test students for the purpose of acquiring access arrangements in public exams. The combination of these courses is equivalent to a level 7 qualification in specialist assessment and meets the JCQ requirements to practice as an access arrangements assessor.

The Access Arrangements Training (AAT) course enables teachers in the UK system to meet the JCQ’s criteria to practice as an Access Arrangements Assessor. This course will cover topics such as equality legislation; current JCQ regulations for all disability categories; data collection and screening; testing for access arrangements; completing documentation and access arrangements online.
This is offered as a 2-day face-to-face course.

Appropriate for:
Successful completion of the Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (CCET) is required in order to take the AAT course
Coursework and a formal assessment will be required for this training course.
Qualification earned:
Successful completion of this course and the CCET will lead to the award of the Level 7 equivalent, Educational Testing and Access Arrangements Certificate (ETAAC)
